SYMPHONY IN YELLOW
AN omnibus across the bridge
Crawls like a yellow butterfly
And, here and there, a passer-by
Shows like a little restless midge.
Big barges full of yellow hay
Are moored against the shadowy wharf,
And, like a yellow silken scarf,
The thick fog hangs along the quay.
The yellow leaves begin to fade
And flutter from the Temple elms,
And at my feet the pale green Thames
Lies like a rod of rippled jade.
AN omnibus across the bridge
Crawls like a yellow butterfly
And, here and there, a passer-by
Shows like a little restless midge.
Big barges full of yellow hay
Are moored against the shadowy wharf,
And, like a yellow silken scarf,
The thick fog hangs along the quay.
The yellow leaves begin to fade
And flutter from the Temple elms,
And at my feet the pale green Thames
Lies like a rod of rippled jade.

"SMILES AND TEARS"
AN ESCAPE INTO THE WORLD OF FREEDOM, WHERE
TIME NEVER ENDS, AND
MOMENTS BECOME TREASURES,
NEVER DISSOLVING
INTO THE ENEMIES OF
YOUTH;
ALWAYS ALIVE,
TAKING GOOD WITH BAD,
TEARS WITH SMILES,
PAIN WITH STIMULATION,
ENJOYING ALL CONTACT
WITH EVERY LOVING
BROTHER AND SISTER,
MOTHER AND FATHER
SENT BY GOD.
MAY 3, 1979
"EYES OF THE LORD"
ON THE RIM OF GOD'S SMILE,
THE AIR OF LOVE
ASTONISHES THE MINDS
OF THE WEARY TRAVELLER
WAITING HIS JUDGEMENT DAY,
THINKING ABOUT FUTURE PROSPECTS,
SEEN THROUGH
THE EYES OF THE LORD.
A SENSE OF DIRECTION,
ENCOURAGED TO
TAKE THE PATH THAT
RESPONDS TO
THE PERSONAL ANNOINTMENT
OF THE SOUL
POSSESSED BY
GOD'S LOVE.

"FULL CHILD"
VISIONS OF CHILDREN FORTHCOMING,
MAKES A MONSTER WONDER ABOUT
AN EXISTENCE OF FULL
CHILD-LIKE
PERSISTENCE,
ENCOMPASSING A WOMB OF
TENDER REPITITIOUS
FLOWING.
THE TENSION BLOWS THE MIND
OF FAMILY MATTERS
AWAITING THE GLORIOUS MOMENT
OF THE DAY THE NEW
BROTHER OF THE WORLD
REACHES TO GRASP
AT THE THORNY SIDE
OF THE MAN ON
THE BED OF NAILS.

"IMAGES OF YOUTH"
IMAGES OF YOUTH
MAY HOUND THE SKULL
OF TRAGIC MOTIONS,
THROUGH ETERNAL AGE-OLD PROPHECY.
THINGS BLOTTED DOWN BY
PASSING MOVEMENTS
OF SILVER AND GOLD
DRAGONS,
BREATHING GASSY FIRES,
GOUGING EVERY PARTICLE
OF HOPE,
LEAVING BROWN STAINED REMNANTS
OF YELLOW AND RED
LAKES AND STREAMS.
TODAY HAS COME AND GONE
LIKE PASSING WAVES OF WATER,
SPURNED BY IMMORTAL SOULS
SEEN THROUGH
IMAGES OF YOUTH.

"NATURAL LIFE"
SUSAN WAS THERE,
SMILING EVER SO BEAUTIFULLY.
GLANCING THROUGH
TRANSPARENT PANES OF
NEVER ENDING LINES,
PEARLED WONDERS OF
LOVING KINDNESS SHOWED
ONE THROUGH THE DOOR.
SHE SEES A SPIRITUAL MOMENT
IN EVERY PARTICLE
OF MOTION,
ALIVE IN HER LOVELY WORLD
OF HOPE,
LIFE,
NATURAL ENLIGHTENMENT,
THROUGH PEACEFUL THOUGHTS
OF HAPPY TIMES TO COME.
"NATURAL LIFE"
SUSAN WAS THERE,
SMILING EVER SO BEAUTIFULLY.
GLANCING THROUGH
TRANSPARENT PANES OF
NEVER ENDING LINES,
PEARLED WONDERS OF
LOVING KINDNESS SHOWED
ONE THROUGH THE DOOR.
SHE SEES A SPIRITUAL MOMENT
IN EVERY PARTICLE
OF MOTION,
ALIVE IN HER LOVELY WORLD
OF HOPE,
LIFE,
NATURAL ENLIGHTENMENT,
THROUGH PEACEFUL THOUGHTS
OF HAPPY TIMES TO COME.

"GENERATIONS EVERLASTING"
KNOWING HOW TO LIVE
CAN BE AN ENVIOUS
FACT THAT NO ONE CAN
SWAT AWAY FROM YOU.
IT IS THERE ALWAYS THROUGH
THE WEATHERED STORM OF
THE AFTERNOON,
OR THE QUIET PEACEFULNESS
OF MORNINGS ABOUNDING
WITH MUSICAL WINGS.
BEING SILENT WITH LOUD COMPANIONS
MAY BRING ABOUT
SOLITUDE
THAT WILL BE GREATLY
CHERISHED THROUGH
GENERATIONS EVERLASTING.

MY BIG THRILL FOR TODAY WAS GONG TO PINDER'S GROSVENOR FOR STAMPS, ENVELOPES AND A NEWSPAPER. I DID MAIL MY OVERSEAS CARDS TO FRIENDS AND RELATIVES IN
ENGLAND, WEST GERMANY, AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND. ALSO, I WROTE OUT HALF OF MY CARDS TO FRIENDS AND RELATIVES IN SUCH PARTS OF CANADA AS OTTAWA, TORONTO,
RICHMOND, EDMONTON AND WINNIPEG AS WELL AS SASKATOON. IN THE EVENING I RELAXED AS USUAL (NO POINT IN FIGHTING THE SNOWS AGAIN!). DID SOME READING OF
"ROLLING STONE" MAG, WATCHED "DYNASTY" AND HOPPED INTO BED!

BLAND IS THE DIFINITIVE WORD TO DESCRIBE TODAY. AFTER DOING DELIVERIES, I REMAINED INDOORS, WATCHING SOME TV AND RELAXING AND ENJOYING LIFE FOR A CHANGE. IN
THE EVENING, I WATCHED "REMINGTON STEELE" AND THE "FIFTH ESTATE." THOUGHT FOR TODAY: ENJOY LIFE; TAKE THINGS COOL, BE GOOD TO YOURSELF, BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THE
WONDERFUL THINGS IN YOUR LIFE, AND BE GLAD TO BE ALIVE. NATALIE WOOD, WE LOVE YOU FOREVER (NOV. 29, 1981-1983).

IT'S GREY CUP DAY TODAY--AND THE TORONTO ARGONAUTS WON IT WITH A LAST MINUTE TOUCHDOWN FOR AN 18-17 VICTORY OVER THE B.C. LIONS AT B.C. PLACE.

I gotta take a little time, a little time to think things over
I better read between the lines, in case I need it when I'm older
Now this mountain I must climb, feels like the world upon my shoulders
Through the clouds I see love shine, it keeps me warm as life grows colder
In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
Can't stop now, I've traveled so far, to change this lonely life
I want to know what love is, I want you to show me
I want to feel what love is, I know you can show me
I'm gonna take a little time, a little time to look around me
I've got nowhere left to hide, it looks like love has finally found me
In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
Can't stop now, I've traveled so far, to change this lonely life
I want to know what love is, I want you to show me
I want to feel what love is, I know you can show me
I want to know what love is, I want you to show me
(And I want to feel) I want to feel what love is
(And I know) I know you can show me
Let's talk about love, I want to know what love is
The love that you feel inside, I want you to show me
And I'm feeling so much love, I want to feel what love is
No, you just can't hide, I know you can show me
I want to know what love is (let's talk about love), I know you can show me
I want to feel it too, I want to feel what love is
I want to feel it too, and I know and I know, I know you can show me
Show me love is real, yeah, I want to know what love is
I better read between the lines, in case I need it when I'm older
Now this mountain I must climb, feels like the world upon my shoulders
